Sand Creek's mission is to help share the West while preserving it. We believe economic change and population growth are inevitable. We know many ranch properties are at risk of being lost to the typical subdivision sprawl that accompanies conventional land development. And we know many of the families who own these special, at risk ranches face difficult decisions about their lands; decisions brought on by a range of very real financial and succession concerns.

Sand Creek has found that many of the new families who come to the West looking for rural land often dislike the sprawl they unexpectedly become a part of. Here they share common ground with long-established local residents. We believe there is a private, market-driven land use response that can shape change for the better while creating strong ownership opportunities for these new arrivals. We believe this can be done without harming the best aspects of the lands we all want to enjoy. However, someone has to build these alternatives.

We pursue our mission by creating sustainable, smart-growth real estate alternatives for distinctive properties throughout the region. Sand Creek brings specialized expertise and capital into partnerships with the owners of these unique lands in order to create high quality Ranch Conservation Communities.

Ranch Conservation Communities offer unique recreation-based living while preserving the heritage, traditions and open spaces of authentic western properties which are often located close to attractive small western towns and cities. Ranch conservation is a sound, responsible option for today's rancher and provides high quality land ownership opportunities for new owners, while preserving agricultural production and enhancing wildlife habitat.
